May 26 - 29: The Great Western Festival (Bardney) artistes included: Alexis Korner, Rory Gallagher, Nazareth, Roxy Music, Genesis, Spencer Davis, Status Quo, Humble Pie and Don Maclean
The Glitter Band (originally from Boston) play their first ever gig (at The Aquarius Nightclub, Lincoln).
