StillDrive was born from the remains of Lincoln band NailMeToATrain.
Although retaining all four members of NMTAT this was more
than just a change of name... It was a change in direction
and attitude. The change bought about a new stripped down,
raw and dare I say it Radio friendly sound! And so Jay Pearce,
Joe Jeffries, Jim Turton and Loz Farr began writing material
for their recently recorded StillDrive debut, recorded at
Methringham Music Factory by Matt Ira Chapman who, as well
as twiddling knobs and talking mic placement, can also be
found indulging in Bass fuelled mayhem in The Wreckset!
With Matt at the helm, StillDrive were awarded the luxury
of taking their time with the recording and experimenting
with different sounds and ideas, drawaing on influences,
from Metallica and Black Label Society, to Joy Division,
Foo Fighters and Senseless Things. This amount of freedom
meant that many a time they emerged blinking from the studio
having recorded and mixed well into the next day! The new
demo is awaiting pressing but all the songs, plus their
previous recordings as NailMeToATrain can be found on their

, in MP3 format. 13 songs in total are available to download
FOR FREE!
Recently Jim Turton decided that he couldn't commit the
time needed for the band and was with deep sadness that
he left the band. He has been replaced with Jo Fabian. Jo
had previously played with No Hot Ashes, who had attracted
major label interest before their untimely demise! Jo along
with NHA has gigged extensively all over the country and
as a result he has slotted in very quickly... So much so
that StillDrive are already back gigging and in the process
of writing material to replace some of the older songs.
With Jo now in place StillDrive are booking gigs at a furious
rate, and are playing The Shed, Lincoln on April 9th, the
first time the band have played in their home town for some
5 months. All the upcoming dates can be found at the bands
