13.10.08 It is with regret that we bring news of the untimely death of Brett Vale. Brett, who was just 20 and was vocalist / guitarist with metal outfit 1337 was found dead last Saturday morning. Brett was not personally known by those here at LincolnBands, but our thoughts go out to his family, the members of 1337 and his friends. Brett was at the Duke last Saturday with friends and is believed to have died early the following morning. Georgia took photos of the gig and has asked that we dedicate them to the memory of Brett. So view the photos and think of him.
RIP Brett.

12.11.08 Nightvision are now in the final few days of an intensive five weeks of sessions at Axis Studios - Doncaster where they have been putting together their 12 track debut album. Sound Engineer/ Producer Matt Ellis has worked brilliantly with the band and if the results of the initial mix of the first six tracks is an indication, then the album will hopefully make a big impression when it becomes commercially available next spring. Talks regarding production and distribution are in progress and details, including hopefully an album launch gig in Lincoln, and a UK tour dates will be released when finalised.
Nightvision will be returning to gigging after their time in the studio with a rare hometown gig at the Cricket Club - Sleaford this Satuday 15th Nov. This is a Free entry gig with 2 x 45 min sets (including all the album material) and indications are it should be a very lively night with a big crowd expected.
Further gigs can be found on the gigs pages or by visiting myspace.com/nightvision1000

08.11.08 Grantham based Lost Hearts are calling it a day. The guys, whose gigs were always edgy and exciting, and who produced some top quality tunes over the past few years, have become dis-illusioned with playing to small, apathetic audiences but will hopefully produce one more CD - a compilation of all their tracks on CD-R as they move on to pastures new. They'll be missed. Good luck to both the guys in all new projects.
