24.02.08 Passing Of A Thousand Hearts have decided to call it a day. The guys have been together for three years and have had some of Lincoln's finest musicians in the genre pass through their ranks. Their shows were always something of a spectacle, energetic and raucous, with audience particpation as much a part of the show as the band themselves. They will be missed. Best of luck guys in any future projects |

24.02.08 Is your kit up to it? Basically PAT testing is a safety electrical requirement for people using their own equipment on others premises, eg pubs, hotels and theatres. Faulty gear could stop a band playing, or an engineer not being able to provide sound. The Test A Plug service could be the difference between a band playing at a venue and not. Contact details are 07877736731, 01332 726492 and www.testaplug.co.uk. |

11.02.08 Its good to let people know when something good is happening in town. Gaz Jenkins, formerly drummer with Clara Maass, is soon to travel to India for six weeks to help in projects such as re-bulding houses, planting tree's, teaching in schools and working in medical clinics. Gaz needed to raise the money to get there and that's where the good people of Lincoln stepped in. Dawn (from Aurora Promotions) offered to help run a night at the Traveller's rest, Nathan Fairweather offered his sound engineering skills, Steve Cowan helped with artwork and bands jumped in to play. Consequently on Saturday 15th March Clara Maass, Escape From This, Crotch Capers, Korrisv and The Naira Project will be entertaining the crowds. Entry is £3 adv or £4 on the door, with all proceeds going towards the charity. |

04.02.08 Any budding artists out there? LincolnBands are looking for a new logo to replace the one used on the LB Forum and myspace. The megaphone logo (left) is to remain, but we want more of a banner type that can be used on other sites, emails, posters etc. As the site is free, we really can't afford to pay a designer to come up with something. If you think you can come up with a design send it to . You won't get paid, but your design could end up all over the web. If we get a few, we'll let people decide which they think is best. |
