27.09.07 RaWMezzFEST 1 RaWMezzFEST 2 Returning former Lincoln bands Nojunknosoul www.myspace.com/nojunknosoul & Vinyl Collide join a whole host of other Lincoln bands on the main stage. Indoors, the MezzMellow Acoustic Stage features another former Lincolnite Matteo Scumaci , who toured with Paul Weller in 2006. Other Lincoln acoustic acts include bands Days Before Television, Kensal Rise and Viv Murrell amongst others. |

26.09.07 Blossom Studio, based in South Wales, but harbouring a Lincoln born producer, is offerng bands a mega deal until the end of October. Tetra Valium and No Junk No Soul have recorded there already and DataSideDown, the producer has worked with Goldie Looking Chain, Saxon and The Incredible String Band. All genres catered for. 23.09.07 The line up for RaW's "MezzFest" next Saturday (29th Sept) at The Mezz Bar has been announced. The twelve hour mini fest, which kicks off around around 1.00 pm, hosts 21 bands and solo artists. The event is being run over two stages and includes local bands South Park Roundabout, The Idlers, Sevenday Weekend, No Junk No Soul, Street 45th plus loads of others and a number of out of town bands. As with all RaW at the Mezz events, entry is free. So why not get yourself there - a great opportunity to catch up with a host of bands from Lincoln.

23.09.07 Alternative Indie band, Sires Of Nothing have four brand new tracks on their myspace (myspace.com/siresofnothing). The tracks are full band recordings and replace some of the demos previously on the site.

23.09.07 The Idlers are going into the newly built Siren FM studios today to play a few acoustic tracks, and talk about their upcoming releases, gigs, and about playing at Leeds Festival. Siren is Lincoln's newest radio station, having grown from the Uni's student radio station. The show starts from around 8pm and is now broadcasted in the Lincoln area on 107.3FM, and online at sirenonline.co.uk. The guys are playing in Spilsby this coming Friday (28thO, and at Raw's MezzFest in Lincoln the following day. 21.09.07 "For the past few months, Starter* have been keeping their heads down... but they've been busy little bee's. They're set to record two brand new songs, "Dance For Mia" and "Falling From These Eyes" (with music videos) down in Boston which are due for completion on the 13th of October, and debut them along with their new new look at The Mezz on October 20th. They have several gigs between now and the year-end, but The Mezz is where it starts. Get ready for a totally pumping performance that's going to pull you out of your seat... " |

17.09.07 iodo have an acoustic gig lined up on 20th Sept to accompany the premier of the film 'Hometown' which was made by their friend Jonny Orme. The venue is 'The Moorlands Railway Club' which is just off Newark Road, almost opposite Rookery Lane. It all kicks off at 7pm and entry is £4, Hearts On Broadway are also playing. The guys latest EP 'True Love Waits' is now also available on iTunes as well as the band's website. |

14.09.07 During Lincoln's fresher's week TV Kicks are headlining at Bishop Grot Uni College on Friday 28th of September. The guys are also to be featured on a 'Best of Lincoln Bands' CD which is being dished out at the main University's freshers fair by The Pioneer Club (from the Drill Hall). Both precursors to their show with The Others on 10th October at The Cell. The duo are also over in Hull at The Sesh (3/11) |

12.09.07 Southpark Roundabout's new single is to be mixed by none other than Chris Brown. The single released slightly, so Brown, who has previously mixed The Beatles Anthologies with Sir Gearoge Martin and mixed and engineered Radiohead's "The Bends" and "OK Computer" with John Leckie. Both Leckie and Brown contacted SPR via their myspace (myspace/thesouthparkroundabout) and asked if they could mix the new tracks. Kudos to SPR. The new single will be out shortly |

10.09.07 Joe Mac, a new (to us here at LB) acoustic artist releases his debut CD tomorrow (11th Sept). Entitled `The Bedsit Glamour` it contains 11 tracks of "lively, catchy acoustic ditties inspired by The Rolling Stones and Tom Waits". Joe Recently performed a well received session on The Mix and you can catch him live (and pick up his CD) at Kind (11 Sept), The Mailcoach Newark, (22 Sept), The Atrium Grantham, (24 Sept) and RawMezzFest (29 Sept). 07.09.07 Saturday 13th October sees Lincoln's Oxjam festival. Bands lined up to play are The Rays, The Silver Lakes, Sevenday Weekend, Parkbench Theory, The Idlers, Hyper Snyper plus acoustic sets from Ben Atkins and Viv Murrell. The gig is being held at SO: Luxe on the Brayford. Other Oxjam events are to take place at Kind. |

05.09.07 Earthcore are a new band whose members will perhaps need no introduction. Featuring Jackson Pearse and Sean Kinneavy from Anxiety 9 and Nathan Robinson from Last Promise, the guys are hoping to have a debut CD out very soon. Unfortunately, as it stands at the moment, you'll have to wait until December to catch them live, when they'll be playing at The Trav's "Christmas Rock Party".
