30.06.07 Naphtali Promotions are a gig promo outfit based and mainly operating in Grantham. They've currently got shows booked at The Atrium and Black Dog in Grantham and are hoping to get some Lincoln bands down to play. 30.06.07 UPDATE 3: Indie outfit, Southpark Roundabout who released their debut single "Tell Me" as a download on Monday (25 June) are now at NUMBER 2!!! in the 7 Digital download charts, just behind The Levellers. Can they reach the number one spot? Only with your help. The track is available on Greater London Records from iTunes, 7 Digitial and their website southparkroundabout.com for 79p, the track has already received airplay on Radio 1 and 2 and reviews in The Sun newspaper and BBC websites. |

29.06.07 Bravekid continue to build up the Trav's reputation as the alternative venue in Lincoln with gigs now listed until September, and bringing in bigger bands. Friday 13th July sees Shaped By Fate (on In At The Deep End Records) grace the stage, Support comes from The Future, Lavotchkin, Autumn Delay (Belgium) and Lincoln's own Spatch...? Tickets are £6.00 on the door and its a 14+ show. |

27.06.07 Alternative three-piece, The Small Print have been holed up in the studio recently, recording their latest CD. Its due out later this month and contains seven tracks. They are hoping to have a launch party soon, details to be confirmed. Check their myspace (myspace.com/readthesmallprint) for details.

27.06.07 Spatch...? are undertaking a mini-tour in September in support of theri debut release 'Music To Induce Incest'. They already have dates confirmed in Derby, Cardiff and Birmingham with Rolo Tomassi and Errander, but are looking for more. 27.06.07 Your band videos wanted. We're putting together a YouTube site where folk can go and watch bands from Lincoln(shire) bands. There will be a link from the band page (on this site to the video) and a link from YouTube to the bands myspace or website. 23.06.07 Details for the first annual Navigate This Festival have been released. British Sea Power headline at The Engine Shed on Friday 20th July, with TV Kicks + OFM + Street 45th + The Mark 9's at The Biv. The following night marks the return of Gaping Axe Wound (following George's op back in April) also on the bill that night are: Midasuno, Colorpool and For No Reason. There will be blues bands at The Drill Hall as part of the festival. Click for details

22.06.07 Muso's favourites iodo are set to release their new EP. Entitled 'True Love Waits', its a six track offering with four of the tracks presented as a "conceptual song-cycle based around ideas of Christianity and Consumerism". They've enlisted some great players to contribute live drums, flutes, saxophones and extra guitars and one track features Dan Svarc. The CD launch night is at The Cell (25th July) with Lipstick Entourage and The Mark 9s where they will be showcasing the tunes with their new line-up which includes a live drummer. The guys also have a number of other gigs lined up over the summer (check out their myspace), and are looking for more. |

The programme (Road To V 2007), which starts at midnight, is a compilation of performances from acts hoping to open this year's V Festival, performing live at the Carling Academy Islington (The Jubilees are on around 10 minutes into the show - i.e. early Friday morning). |

19.06.07 Bravekid Promotions launch their "Parallel Lines" night this coming Saturday (23rd June) at the Traveller's Rest. Featuring Lipstick Entourage, Recruit, Park Bench Theory and Lost Hearts, the gig is 14+ and only £3.00 entry. Iain, the founder of Bravekid, relinquises the reins to the ever expanding company, as he embarks on his round the world trek. 15.06.07 Lincoln punk band A Fighting Chance have decided to call it a day. Reasons for the split are numerous, but we're led to believe amicable. New projects are already in the pipeline with Escape From This (myspace.com/escapefromthisuk) and The Living Daylights (myspace.com/thelivingdaylightsuk). The guys played a stack of gigs in town and much further afield. We'll be sad to see them go, but would like to wish all future projects every success. |

12.06.07 Sevenday Weekend took part in the regional semi-finals of Emergenza World Wide Battle of the Bands yesterday . They received the highest band vote cast by all musicians there and great scores from the A&R Reps but that still wasn't enough to ensure them a place in the last 16. They were runners-up so need to wait and see if any other runner-up band will beat their over-all score. A number of peopl joined them on the tour bus for the trip down to the Big City, and the guys would like to say a big thanks to them. |

12.06.07 Athlete are coming to the Engine Shed in October. Presented by SJM Concerts, the gig will take place on Thursday Oct 18th 2007 and will feature Athlete plus special guests. 08.06.07 The Bivouac, The Drill Hall and The Engine Shed have joined together to bring to Lincoln the Navigate This Festival. Happening over the weekend of 21st-23rd July it promises to bring an eclectic mix of new bands, signed bands and blues. More details as we get them. |

02.06.07 Delerious, the promotion company previously based at the sadly closed Christopher's has joined forces with Blue Monkey Agency. They will be promoting and manging bands, promoting gigs at venues around town and renting PA and lighting to bands and venues. They also have a Battle Of The Bands in the pipeline, which they hope to run towards the end of June. Further details at Delerious |

01.06.07 We've heard of a new event that's going to happen in Wragby. Their promo blurb reads: "Bliss is a vibrant, fast moving music event that offers you the very best in music. It takes place evry couple of months and offers local and national artists of many different genres."
