"Nightvision have had a busy time gigging so far this year with gigs at Leicester, Sheffield and Luton as well as venues closer to home.  The Evolution show in March alongside Anxiety 9 has been the highlight so far and on an all Metal line up the response to Nightvision's brand of heavy original rock from the metalheads was superb. (Well done Nathan - great night)
Nightvision are now looking to confirm a series of gigs over the coming months and the aim is to play at venues around the country to raise the profile of the band. They are also currently working on new material to add to the already impressive set list of genuinely original material. The Wreckset

05.04.07 After five years The Wreckset have decided to call it a day. The guys are to concentrate on other things for a while. They had just completed their new CD. Closure, their last CD, received a very favourable review on this site, and their professionalism (not to mention the standard of musicianship) in the live environment cemented an excellent reputation. They'll be missed and I'd like to take the opportunity to wish the guys all the best in any future projects.

IMYBIKE

03.04.07 An all day event showcasing some of the best up and coming metal and hardcore bands takes place Friday, April 6, at The Travellers Rest, Canwick Road, Lincoln. The day will see the Lincoln venue play host to a varied line up of bands from across the country.
It will be the final UK show for headline act The Casino Brawl before they hit Europe for a string of dates later this month. The band, who hail from the North East of the country, formed from the ashes of popular underground acts The Hurt Process, Ethereal and A Trust Betrayed. The six piece, who are signed to Murdercall records, blend together elements of metal and hardcore and previous furiously energetic live appearances in Lincoln have only confirmed their status as a must see live act.
Support will come from Massacre On Broadway, also from the North East, who will bring a brutally dark mix of metalcore and death metal to the city. West Midlands acts Random Conflict, Salvatore Leone and When Bullets Fail will also be making the trip north for the all dayer. East Anglia is also represented, with Forever Falling and Deaf Havana returning to Lincoln after previous gigs in the city confirmed their respective talents and popularity. Despite the mix of talent coming from across the UK, there will still be a local element to the day with Lincolnshire bands I My Bike, Lady Irony and The Cure For Necrosis rounding off the impressive ten band bill.
The Travellers Rest each Friday is proving to be a popular haunt for fans of heavier music and with an impressive line up of bands set to play over the coming months and a renovation of the venue set to be complete soon things can only get better.
The all day feast of music, courtesy of Bravekid Promotions, is a 14+ gig and begins at 3pm. Tickets are £7 on the door.
For more information on the all dayer and future Bravekid gigs, check out www.myspace.com/bravekidfriends
