Supper At Christopher's
11.11.06:Pete came along to Christopher's last night, armed with camera. He said of the night:
"Following on from the previous lincolnbands night inviting bands from
Hull to perform together with Lincoln acts on the same bill at
Christophers, tonight was the turn of Sheffield bands and their fans to
hit town. The concept is starting to generate greater interest and
there was a real buzz that kept up despite a bit of an overrun on the
soundchecks. Top bands were Lipstick Entourage (arguably Lincoln's
baddest indie band at the minute) and Sheffield's zany Screaming Mimi.
These were nicely backed up by Chihuahua Massacre, Balor Knights and
Agent G, all up for it and giving a top night's music, full of colour
and loads of sassy attitude."
Pics of the bands online at www.shine.clara.co.uk/gigs webspace.

Open Mic at Christopher's
08.11.06: Recieved this via Myspace from Neil at Christopher's....
"From 3.30pm/4pm ish on Sunday 19th november @ Christophers Bar, we will be holding an Open Mic session downstairs in the bar, and then every sunday from then on, to Start after the FREE SUNDAY LUNCH OFFER !
The first event will be featuring Steve Mcllelland from the Band from County Hell (& Guests) along with other featured Musicians TBC.
The day runs as an open mic session limiting performances to a maximum of three performers per act, all must be accoustic, obviously if others want to jam along thats fine, but the idea is to make the day more about the musicians and not bands (we do loads of gigs every week for bands) the hope is that it will also give the songwriters or singers etc...the oportunity to play solo material or just new material that they have not played live yet.
This event, unlike others around is WELCOME TO ALL !!!! you do not have to know anyone to play, or pre-book or audition or be part of a click to attend and perform,we welcome Punk Poets as much as traditional Whistle players, from Rock GOds/Godesses to Classical maestroes, Trad Jazz to soulful blues and everything in between. If you need any further details or can recomend any musicians please message through Christopher's myspace at www.myspace.com/christophersbar."
Neil looks forward to any feedback he may receive.
