22.08.08 2757, sirenFM's sonic arts radio show :
Through 27|57, Siren is offering Artists the opportunity of a blank canvas and an open brief : What could you do with 27 minutes of airtime and very few rules ? What would you carve out of 57 minutes of silence ?
27|57 is a weekly open submission Sound-Art radio show on SirenFM 107.3.
It is intended as a platform for Sound-Artists to show their work and to experiment with an open brief of either 27 or 57 minutes. Artists are encouraged to submit work on any theme with the only rules being duration and decency.
If you're a Sound Artist, Experimental Musician, Electro-Acoustic Composer or you just love making noize ... Siren want to hear it ... and broadcast it.
Work on any theme or topic your like, solo or collaborative, old or new; as long as the piece is original and fits into the loose category of Sound-Art then Siren want it.
If you have an existing work you could dust down and trim to fit 27|57 they want that too.
Priority is given to Artists resident in, originating from, or even tenuously linked to postcodes starting with LN1 to 7. If this doesn't describe you, Siren still want to play your piece as the intention is to create a small national stage for Artists to air their works and develop their Sonic Potential.
All works will be considered for broadcast on SirenFM 107.3 [and online at www.sirenonline.co.uk] to a potential audience of 100,000 in the 'Greater Lincoln' area

20.08.08 Please Note: LincolnBands.co.uk is dedicated to bands playing predominantly ORIGINAL material. In recent months we had a number of emails from cover bands and tribute acts wanting to be included on the site or have their gigs listed. Unfortunately we do not have the time to cater for cover/tribute bands; the site is pretty time consuming as it is.
