You ask for my poem
There`s so much I could say
Whenever you visit the factory
Things don`t seem to go your way
We start with absence of a singer
Jack to jack leads and such
Big arguments on the path outside
But they didn`t amount to much
So the singer is forgiven
You start to get your heads down
You produce some cracking songs
And play a few gigs in town
There`s always something forgotten
A bass, a lead or a snare
Drum sticks are broken, snare skins split
I start pulling out my hair
But you also provide entertainment
Like running around scared of bees
And arriving late or early
Just a few things with which I can tease
You come for a picnic and practice
And you head for the local stream
I thought just for once I might have lost you
You return with jeans soaked to the knees
I`m sure you`ll make it big one day
You are a bunch of really great guys
But why every time you ring for a booking
Do I tend to look up to the skies!!
Bees, broken sticks, arguments, forgotten equipment, bad parking, etc. good tunes, a laugh every time
That`s Escape from This
