Other Details |
Laurie's third major project, after CAYSUS CALLING (1991-93) and
COCOFELTFEAR (1993-95). This group known first as INDIA PALE (1995), then
THE MODELS (1996), finally LAURIE BENNETT & THE MODELS (1996 onwards).
Spin-off improvisation group FLOWERFUCKERS (1997-99) contained several
alter-egos of the group and various guests.
Laurie Bennett was a co-founder of YORKIST PRETENDERS, lead singer and
writer with CAYSUS CALLING and singer, guitarist and keyboard player of
COCOFELTFEAR. Established a home recording studio (Studio Tan) between
1995-1999 which saw many local acts documenting their music. The studio
moved to a barn in Legsby and was renamed The Spanish Studio, which
eventually closed circa 2005. After the Models disintegrated, Laurie
completed a solo EP with ex-members of the band and others 'Time And Space'
(private release 2002) before leaving Lincoln. Has since been involved in
Norwich groups Cosy Cat Club and Sunday Music, whilst continuing to write
and record with various musicians.
Damo Waters played with MR.KLEIN, CRUF ET AL, AGEBABY, OLIVIA HONEY, INDIA,
JAZZ FROM HELL, BLAZING SADDLES, THE LURKERS, A.J. AND THEE LOVITTZ, LOS
GRECOS, INTERNAZIONALE and put together a semi-solo album 'Duckeggdaze'
(Planet Boo BOO 080) before moving to London. Has since played with CICCONE,
ATARAXY, THE MACHINE, and THE DOROTHY STRAIN. Currently playing drums for
DEAD SINGER and recording solo as MUDDY SUZUKI (album 'MeeToo' avilable
soon).
Chris Ramsay played in CAYSUS CALLING, COCOFELTFEAR and JAZZ FROM HELL.
After the Models, played until recently with THE STRAIGHTMEN.
Chris Disley is part of www.roughdiamondproductions.com and offers audio production / recording / editing / mixing / mastering and duplication as well as installation, consultancy, independent listening, and web design.
Charles Board played in SEXY REBECCA, THE PINK MONKEYBIRDS, THE RICHARD PRICE
IMPLANT and AJ AND THEE LOVITTZ whilst based in Lincoln. After moving to
London, played with THE MACHINE.
