Been playing in folk clubs since i was about 7, although only started writing and recording in this style about 3/4 months ago
from December 1999, to August 2006, I was frontman for Keighley-based DIY punk band Breene. We played a brand of punk rock that was untamed, unrefined and usually unpracticed... and drunk.
The DIY ethic was a way of life for the band. We recorded our own albums, booked our own tours and funded everything ourselves. We released one full length album (Wrath Of Breene, 2004) one EP (Viva La Struggle, 2006) and a demo album (Boycott, 2002) Each were released on our own label "Superstatic Recordings"
Some of you Lincoln folk may have caught us at one of our shows at the Traveller's Rest During our 'Viva La Struggle' tour in Summer 2006
Since Breene parted, and I moved to Lincoln, I decided to go back to my roots, playing the music my Dad and I used to play when I was younger. My first gig as a solo artist was THE most terrifying moment of my life, but went down a storm. I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes down with a crowd of entirely new faces.
